I've made it my goal to try to share a new template on Sundays. Now, some weeks I might not be able to do this, but I'm going to *try*! So, I've been working on this template for awhile, but just haven't had a chance to scrap with it yet. Finally, I've grabbed a few spare moments over the last couple of days to pull together two layouts!
First here's a preview of the template.
Download the template from this link.
Please leave me a comment if you download it. If you use the template and post something to an online gallery, I'd love to see it! Post a link in my blog. :) Remember, you are welcome to modify and tweak this template to fit your needs, but you are not allowed to redistribute it. If you want to share it, send a link to my blog. :) Thanks for your understanding

Here are two pages I created with this template. This first layout adheres to the template pretty closely. It's a page I did of my little girl eating an apple. Getting her to eat fruit is a bit of a struggle. Can't really blame her, I guess. Fruit in Minnesota tends to be bland and not really all that sweet... and anything canned or otherwise preserved has an icky texture that *I* don't even like - so I can understand why she doesn't like it either. hehe.
This page was created using the Sweet on You kit by Holly McCaig at MyDigitalMuse. I just loved how the warm browns and reds and greens worked so well for an apple themed page. Plus, the twill embellishment in the kit was the perfect touch!
This second page is a layout that features my sister. My sister is such a fun person - even my hubby refers to her as the fun sister. She's always traveling and going out - living the cosmo girl lifestyle, I tell ya! We have been confused for twins (though we both kind of scratch our heads over that one!) and it's not unusual for people to ask which of us is older. (I am, but that's not what
people usually guess. LOL. She HATES that!)
Anyway, I wanted to create a layout using one of Jenn Howland's pretty kits - her Enchanting kit. I just love the colors she used in it - blues and purples. They are so pretty together! (Those were the colors of the flowers in my wedding!) And I found these three photos of my sister that I wanted to scrap - so I converted the photos to black and white (as the red sweater she was wearing wouldn't really look so good with the blue and purple kit!) so it all just sorta fell together for me. I deviated from the template a little more on this one, because the embellishments I wanted to use from the kit weren't working with some of the layers. No biggie - I just deleted the layers I didn't want and added the embellishments I did.
The paper tear on the photo mat was done with an Atomic Cupcake action.
That's all for now. Have a happy Easter! And here's hoping that your jellybeans will be sweet and fruity and not spicy! (lol! I HATE spicy jellybeans! How cruel! Spicy candy??? just doesn't seem right!)
