Baby Cards

We had two very special babies join our extended family in February. Before they were born, I saw some totally adorable baby cards featured on etsy. As cute as they were, and as much as I love to support artists by buying their handcrafted work, I could not justify it in this case when I have a whole stamping/scrapping room full of supplies with which to make cards!

I couldn’t recreate it exactly – the original used some sort of die-cut shape to create the elephants. But I could improvise.

I used the elephant stamp from a retired Noah’s Ark set to create the line of elephants marching across the card. What is it about elephants that makes for such a cute baby card?? :)

I think the photo doesn’t do them justice – they seem a little plain. But I promise, in real life they were very cute… I considered putting a ribbon on each one and decided against it because I thought they were just right without a ribbon.
